The jungle was filled to the brim.
Snakes. He slept in them.
They didn’t bite.
The snakes kept him warm.
He felt peaceful in the trees.

For all its fiery radiance the glittering pathway couldn’t even take me out of my own head. I followed it down and out and around and I walked and I ran and I crawled and I sat down and cried furiously at the stars all around. When they saw me cry maybe regret filled their starry hearts and they fell from the sky or the wall or wherever they were and I don’t know where they fell to but it wasn’t into me. I have never felt so empty.

Aesthetics statement.
i want to fill the world with endless gorgeous feverish visions.
i want my words to sing.
i want to strike the reader with lightning kisses.
i want the world around my poems to melt.
i want diamonds to fall from the sky
i want monsters to crawl from the walls
putting the reader gently to sleep
